There’s a particular magic that happens when you step into the unknown with no agenda. Just curiosity and presence.

By the way, we named our paintings and mine is called “Auora”, because all my classmates thought it looked like the northern lights.🤗

And if you’re curious about the other class I took a class prior to this at Tonkadale Gardens. You can see it on my previous reels. It was a silk scarf, dying class with botanicals and that class had my creative fire blazing!

Last night’s Sound and Scent mini-retreat was a beautiful experience, not just for the attendees, but for us as practitioners as well. We guided participants through light yoga and breathwork, then led them directly into Savasana for the sound bath: a 90-minute sound and scent journey that moved through all four elements - earth, fire, water, and air.

We closed the evening by having each person craft their own hydrosol spray, choosing a favorite essential oils from the journey along with crystals and flowers representing each of the elements we traveled through.

This is such a perfect way to move through the transitions from season to season. Next up is summer solstice, keep an eye out for that event!☀️

I’m made my first batch of elderberry syrup, and I wanted to share why this little winter ritual is so powerful.

Elderberries have been used for centuries to support the immune system, helping the body stay strong during cold and flu season. Combine them with warming spices - cinnamon, clove, cardamom, and star anise - for gentle, antimicrobial support. Ginger brings anti-inflammatory benefits, rosehips add vitamin C, and goji berries offer antioxidants.

After simmering everything together, strain out all the solids, including the seeds. This step is important because the seeds aren’t meant to be eaten, as they can cause digestive upset, and removing them keeps the syrup smooth. Then stir in honey, which sweetens naturally, adds its own antibacterial properties, and helps preserve the syrup.

This isn’t just a recipe - it’s a simple, concentrated way to give your immune system extra support during winter, using ingredients that have been trusted for generations.

3 Cups water
1.5 Cups Elderberry
3 Star Anise
2 Cinnamon sticks
1 Tbsp Rose-hips
1 Tbsp Goji Berry
1 knob Ginger
A few Cardamom
A few Cloves
1/2 Cup Honey

Simmer on low for 1 hour (no less)
Cool for 30 minutes
Strain
Mix in Honey

Pour water into a sealable jar and keep in the fridge for up to 6 months.

I’ve been told time and again that the energy of the space feels special, and that is no accident. It is PROFOUNDLY INTENTIONAL… infused with my love, my energy, and my purpose.
